Command Center Roles โ€‹

In the Command Center, users are divided into two distinct roles: the Viewer and the Admin. Each with its own set of authorizations and permissions, ensuring efficient management and control of operations. These roles are tailored to the specific responsibilities and requirements of the users, ensuring a streamlined workflow and optimal utilization of resources.

Viewer Role: โ€‹

This role have limited access compared to admin, focusing primarily on exploring the dashbords, without any authority to modify them.

  • Capabilities:
    • Access: Users have access to the Viewer section of the command center.
    • Visualization: Users can visualize dashboards.
    • Interaction: Users can interact with dashboards, including changing the time-stamp, adjusting time aggregation, and accessing drill-down dashboards.
  • Limitations :
    • Modification: Users cannot modify datasets, charts, dashboards, or folders.
    • Creation: Users cannot create new user profiles.
    • Administration: Users do not have administrative privileges.

Admin Role: โ€‹

This role holds the highest level of authorization within the CC. They are responsible for managing user accounts, assigning roles and permissions.

  • Capabilities:
    • Access: Admins have access to all sections of the command center.
    • Creation and Modification: Admins can create, modify, and delete datasets, charts, dashboards, and folders.
    • User Management: Admins can create new user profiles and manage user access and permissions.
  • Authority:
    • Full Control: Admins have full control over the site's content, system settings, user access permissions and structure.
    • Administrative Privileges: Admins can perform administrative tasks, including site configuration and management.

By segregating users into these two roles, the Command Center ensures a clear division of responsibilities while maintaining security and efficiency. Admin have the authority to manage the system and its users, while Users can focus on exploring the dashboards.
